Celtic Moon October Show at the Wheelhouse Thank you for supporting Celtic Moon! We sincerely appreciate your presence at the Pleasanton Highland Games, The Wheelhouse performances, Dala's Nest Concert, Harry Potter's Birthday Festival, and the Mini Maban Festival at the Celtic Tea Shoppe. Since presenting live music makes no sense without you, our audience, how about you tell us what you want to hear us play at the Wheelhouse on October 13th? You could choose a favorite song or instrument (that we know how to play; there are many choices!), a mash-up of genres, a dance tune, whatever your whimsey, and we will do our best. You could surprise us at the gig or, preferably, email us in advance. Verlene is an expert at this sort of thing, Lynda is an expert at improvising, and our gig/tech assistants, Kristina and Isha, are experts at doing on-the-spot internet song searches! There is plenty of room for dancing as well! Let's show some love to the Wheelhouse for all their support of live music for years! Celtic Moon has expanded to include educational performances and will play at The Creekside School in San Jose this month. This private event is geared towards autistic school-aged (grades K-12) students. We will be playing well-known traditional American songs and traditional Celtic (Irish, Scottish, British Isles, Cape Breton) tunes. We will also introduce folk instruments, such as the Celtic Harp and the Nyckelharpa, to enrich students' knowledge of folk music and instruments.
